BLEND RCT

The BLEND RCT is a NWO-funded multicenter phase III randomized controlled trial that according to the Trials within Cohorts design that evaluates the effect of stereotactic body radiotherapy and stabilizing surgery within 24 hours for the treatment of patients with symptomatic and unstable spinal metastases, compared to standard of care (surgery followed by conventional radiotherapy after 1-2 weeks when wound healing allows).
