On March 6, the PROVE Study Group proudly took part in the Spin for Life event, an energetic cycling event organized by Fight Cancer. With a team of passionate and determined PROVErs (and matching PROVE socks), we raised over €4.000 in support of cancer research!
Fight cancer is committed to defeating cancer by raising awareness and funding vital research and prevention initiatives, with a special focus on (young) adults. Through inspiring events like Spin for Life, the foundation empowers individuals to transform feelings of helplessness into strength, helping create a world with less cancer, more cures, and a better quality of life during and after treatment.
This year, all proceeds from Spin for Life went toward our very own LAPSTAR trial, which explores the use of MR-guided radiotherapy for patients with locally advanced pancreatic cancer. You can read more about the research here.
